First Impressions And Beyond

This salad is a limited time offering by Wendys that I wanted to try, so I picked up a half portion to take home and have for dinner that night. The half portion is decent if you have something else with it and the full is more than enough to satisfy and then some. You receive one package of dressing with the half and I believe two with the full size.

The chicken on this is normally hot, but as I had it later in the evening I had it fresh out of the fridge, which was good and tasty even with the chicken being cold. The description mentions lettuce, cheese, bacon, chicken and avocado with the ranch, but my salad had tomatoes and if there was any bacon on it I didnt really find it, and maybe only tasted it once.

The Southwestern ranch dressing is a creamy, thinner variety so it made getting it all over the salad pretty easy without it coming out in clumps it flowed easily from the plastic pouch. The salad dressings that Wendys use have always been top notch in my opinion and they havent disappointed with this one either.

There was a decent amount of avocado and it cooled down the slightly spicy ranch perfectly and made it really satisfying.

Having no bacon on my salad, or so little I couldnt find it disappointed me, but the cheese, chicken, lettuce and avocado with the ranch was good enough but not perfect.

Mix up the dressing. Add the Greek yogurt, extra virgin olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, cayenne and the juice of one lime in a large bowl. Then fold in your cubed or shredded chicken breast.

Next add the rest of your ingredients to the bowl: chopped avocados, crumbled bacon, diced red onions, canned or frozen and thawed corn, rough chopped cilantro, and finely chopped Jalapenos and fold all the ingredients together.

Its nice if some of the avocado gets mixed in well this makes it even creamier. But I like to make sure there are still some nice chunks left also.
