You can boil chicken breasts until fully cooked and then shred with 2 forks OR you can cook chicken in your instant pot OR you can also cook chicken breasts in a slow cooker or Crockpot.

Another option and there is absolute nothing wrong with it is to purchase a rotisserie chicken! Yep, let someone else do the work. Simply remove the meat and skin and shred with 2 forks or a stand mixer. Dont forget to save the bones for easy bone broth!

If you dine at the Chicken Salad Chick you can enjoy your chicken salad in two ways. One is a scoop of chicken salad on a bed of leaf lettuce. The other way you can have chicken salad is on a sandwich. Their sandwiches come with leaf lettuce and ripe tomatoes.
If you want you could serve it with crackers or you could stuff the chicken salad inside of a tomato. Its completely up to you.

What Makes This Chicken Salad So Good
I think there are a few different elements that make this recipe unique.
- It calls for only chicken tenders. Chicken tenders shred wonderfully when pulled apart after cooking.
- Celery is chopped super fine, so you dont get large pieces of celery.
- Also, dry Ranch salad dressing mix adds a unique flavor.
For this recipe, I have chosen to cook the chicken tenders in chicken stock. I think this adds layers of flavor to the recipe. Good quality chicken stock is made with carrots, celery, and onion. The chicken tenders pick up some of this flavor.

Chicken Salad Chick is exactly what youd expect. A bright and lively restaurant that caters largely to women, but not so much that a man would feel uncomfortable there.
Its a counter service restaurant. Order at one of the three registers and your food will be brought to the table. For those needing to pick up an order and eat on the go, take out service is very quick, particularly if you call ahead.
The menu is wonderfully uncomplicated. Pick one of four specials. Pick a chicken salad. Pick a side item. Thats it.
There are 15 variations of chicken salad based off the Classic Carol. Ive eaten seven of them. All are good.
This may seem overwhelming but most of the salads fall into a couple of basic categories: classic, spicy, fruity, nutty, experimental. This makes it easier to narrow down.

The Barbie-q sandwich was great! I ordered this sandwich with broccoli and cheddar soup, crackers, grape salad, pickle, chocolate chip cookie, water with lemon. The grape salad is something you must try!! I loved it. The restaurant was very clean, even the restrooms! Walked in and was able to order right away. Received a number and my lunch was delivered to me at the table within 10 minutes. Great customer service from the staff. They also have a separate room if you would like to celebrate a birthday, baby shower, business meeting, etc. Will definitely come back here again to try a different sandwich.

Recently, my husband came home way too excited about a food idea someone had at work. Someone mixed canned tuna with BBQ sauce and put it on a sandwich
Something about canned tuna and BBQ sauce together just does not sit right with me. However, if it was shredded chicken then I would be totally on board!
That said, I created this cold shredded BBQ chicken salad with the tuna-BBQ concoction in mind, and it turned out GREAT. We always see classic chicken salad, buffalo chicken salad and even curry chicken salad. Why not give BBQ sauce a shot?

This was my first experience at a Chicken Salad Chick and it gave me something to cluck about!I got a scoop of the Barbie-Q, a Buffalo Barclay on a Croissant, and the Loaded Potato Soup. First of all, how fun are the names? I love the extra quirkiness. The names are just where it begins, the food is phenomenal! I keep telling everyone about it. I love that you can just get a scoop to make your own sandwich at home or dip veggies or crackers in it. The soup was oh so cheesy. It was a great addition to the meal.

We nixed the spicy, marked by a pepper on the menu, and the classic styles. My daughter is against nuts in her food. That left her with three choices. I do like nuts which left me with eight choices.
She went with the Fruity Fran, chicken salad with Fuji apples and seedless grapes, on a croissant. The fruit brings sweetness to the chicken salad and is her favorite. She was a bit horrified at biting into an unidentified whole red grape in her sandwich What isthis! but now it doesnt phase her.
I like the Fruity Fran but prefer the Fancy Nancy version, same chicken salad but with pecans added. Ive eaten all the fruit and nut mixtures except the cranberry one and liked them equally.
The sweet fruit balances the saltiness of the chicken salad and the nuts bring texture. In a blind taste test, Im not sure I could tell them apart. All tasted remarkably similar.
The Barbie-Q falls in my experimental category. It tastes like a cold barbecue sandwich. It is delicious. However, I didnt enjoy it as a scoop. It really benefits from being sandwiched in between bread.
We tried two of the specials the Original Chick and Chick Trio. The Original comes with a sandwich or scoop, side item, pickle and a cookie. The portions are generous and my daughter and I each had half a sandwich left over to pack for lunch the next day.
