My co-workers and I ordered delivery today. Well the deliver service that was used always goes to the wrong address. I tried to contact them and it got me no were. I spoke with Tim the owner tried to help us with Doordash and neither got anywhere. Tim personally brought us our lunch at a very busy lunch hour to make sure my co-worker and I had our food. Chicken Salad Chick – an Alabama-based fast casual chain that specializes in… well, chicken salad – is opening its first location in Virginia next week.
The new restaurant is at 9631 W. Broad St. in Henrico County in the Westpark Shopping Center and opens Wednesday, Oct. 2.
Chicken Salad Chick launched in 2008 and specializes in traditional and flavored chicken salads, such as lemon basil and barbecue, served by the scoop or on a sandwich. The restaurant also serves salads, soups, sides and pimento cheese . Most menu items are $9-$11.

Chicken Salad Chick is targeting the state of Virginia for franchise growth, aiming to open six locations via franchise partnerships over the next two years.
The Auburn, Alabama-based chain, which has two locations in the greater Richmond area, is kicking off the development push with a unit opening later this month in Christiansburg. Its Hampton and Roanoke units will be ready by summer’s end, and the chain plans to have eight locations in Virginia by 2023, according to a company press release.
Melissa Holt, who grew up in Virginia and brings five years of experience of in-store restaurant operations and internal franchise system management in the restaurant industry, is behind the Hampton development. Situated in the heart of the Hampton’s shopping and entertainment district at the Peninsula Town Center, the restaurant, located at 2850 Kilgore Avenue, will open in early Q3. She’ll add a second location to the greater Williamsburg area in 2022.
“Chicken Salad Chick is a brand that values quality in its menu, customer service, and operations,” Holt said in the release. “Making the decision to start my entrepreneurial path with Chicken Salad Chick felt natural and seamless when I looked at what I valued in a brand. Southern-inspired, fast casual chicken salad restaurant concept, Chicken Salad Chick, scheduled its new restaurant, the second location in the greater Richmond, Va., area, to open on June 24. The new location at 6575 Mechanicsville Turnpike will celebrate its grand opening by offering free chicken salad for a year to the first 100 guests. Chicken Salad Chick will schedule designated return times to maintain social distancing throughout the day.
The Mechanicsville location will follow state guidelines by limiting capacity while Virginia continues to reopen businesses. All emloyees will be required to wear masks and gloves, and practice proper food safety protocol. The new location will have a drive-thru for added convenience for customers who prefer it.
During the first week of business, the Mechanicsville location will offer giveaways and specials that include:
Multi-unit franchise owners Tim, Kim, Rick and Nancy Collins of Providence Restaurant Group, LLC, own and operate both the original Richmond location and the new Mechanicsville location. The Richmond locations are from Tim, Kim, Rick and Nancy Collins of Providence Restaurant Group, LLC dba Chicken Salad Chick – a Richmond-based husband and wife plus Tim’s parents team. The group previously ran the local locations of Stevi B’s.

The fast-casual chicken salad restaurant concept is planning to open the new units through strategic franchise partnerships.
Three of the new locations are slated to be launched this year.
The first unit will open in late April at 2575 Market St. NE, Christiansburg. The launch of Hampton and Roanoke units will follow later in the year.
At present, the company operates two units in the greater Richmond region of Virginia. It expects to have eight Chicken Salad Chick Virginia locations operating by March 2023.
Chicken Salad Chick CEO Scott Deviney said: The state of Virginia exudes promising growth for Chicken Salad Chick. Having a massive presence throughout the south eastern region, Virginia is a natural progression to expand our national footprint.
The chain said it has picked Melissa Holt as the franchisee for the Hampton unit. Located at 2850 Kilgore Avenue, the unit is set to open early in the third quarter of this year.
Holt will also open a second Chicken Salad Chick unit in the greater Williamsburg area in 2022.
