How to make Salad for Weight Loss at Home

STEP 1. Start by making the salad dressing. Grate the garlic into a glass jar or bowl.

STEP 2. Add the remaining salad dressing ingredients and either cover the jar with a lid and shake, or stir together in a bowl. Set aside until ready to use.

STEP 3. Prepare the kale by removing the leaves from the stem then add the leaves to a food processor.

STEP 4. Blend until finely chopped. Then add 3 cups to a serving plate or bowl.

STEP 5. Add the broccoli to the food processor and blend until finely chopped. Transfer to the serving bowl and then chopped the red cabbage in the food processor and transfer to the serving bowl.

STEP 6. Chop and dice the cilantro, green onion, radish, avocado and walnuts. Arrange the ingredients in the serving plate.

STEP 7. Pour the prepared salad dressing on top.

    Ingredients:

    1 to 2 cups lettuce, torn3 tablespoons lemon juice¼ cup olive oil2 tablespoons fresh snipped dillBlack pepper

    Directions:

    Shave the zucchini into thin strips. Season with salt and drain in the colander for 15 minutes. Shave the carrots and thinly slice the onion. Rinse and drain the zucchini. In a serving dish, place one layer of zucchini, followed by layers of lettuce, carrots and onion. In a separate bowl, combine the lemon juice and oil. Drizzle a small bit on the veggies.   • Preheat broiler.
  • Heat ½ teaspoon oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add the ginger, garlic, pepper and scallions cook 1 minute. Stir in curry powder, curry paste, and cumin cook 1 minute.
  • Add soy sauce, sugar, Asian fish sauce, and coconut milk bring to a simmer . Remove from heat stir in cilantro or basil if using.
  • Brush fish with ½ teaspoon oil sprinkle with ¼ teaspoon salt. Place fish on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray.
  • Broil 7 minutes or until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork.
  • Serve fish with sauce, rice, and lime wedges.
