The potatoes have a wonderful cheddar cheese sauce that gets brown and bubbly when cooked. The potatoes are thin sliced and hold the sauce well.

The dish is well seasoned and by that I mean that it has enough salt to perk up the flavors but is not drowning in salt like most commercially processed foods.

My only complaint about these potatoes is that sometimes I will get a few pieces that feel a little harder than I prefer. I like scalloped potatoes to be almost mushy and these, while fully cooked, sometimes have more texture than I prefer. I could probably fix that by heating them up a little longer next time.
