Good news for those of you who enjoy chicken salad: A fast-casual restaurant devoted to the creation is coming to Mason.
Slated to open later this year, Chicken Salad Chick is an Alabama-based chain that literally specializes in different variations of chicken salad: traditional white meat with celery and mayo Old South with sweet pickles and egg Sassy Scotty with ranch, bacon and cheddar Fancy Nancy with Fuji apples, seedless grapes and pecans… You get the idea. You can get the salad as a scoop or on a sandwich.
The forthcoming Mason restaurant will be Chicken Salad Chick’s second Ohio location, with additional eateries slated to open in Anderson and Oakley in 2019.
Owned and operated by Mike and Beth Heydt, a former manufacturing and human resources employee at P& G and a teacher, respectively, the Snider Commons shopping center spot will feature a patio and drive-thru. The couple’s three daughters will also work at the restaurant.

Chicken Salad Chick Expanding In Missouri With Creve Coeur Restaurant
Chicken Salad Chick, the nations only southern inspired, fast casual chicken salad restaurant concept, announced it will be expanding in Missouri with its newest company-owned location in Creve Coeur. Following its debut in the state with the opening in Chesterfield earlier this year, the Creve Coeur restaurant marks Chicken Salad Chicks second location in the St. Louis market, Missouri and the Midwest overall, with additional restaurants in Edwardsville, Illinois, Westerville, Ohio, and Mason, Ohio slated to open later this year. Located at 12536 Olive Boulevard, the Creve Coeur restaurant will celebrate its grand opening on April 23 and will offer free chicken salad for a year to the first 150 guests.

Meet The Owners Of The Mason Chicken Salad Chick Mike And Beth Heydt
The Heydts have called Mason home for the past 15 years and they are incredibly excited to introduce Mason to the goodness that is Chicken Salad Chick. Mike and Beth have had a lifelong dream to own and operate a franchise, and Chicken Salad Chick is the perfect fit. When they tried Chicken Salad Chick for the first time, they couldnt stop talking about how delicious it was. Chicken Salad Chick Hatches New Concept: Pop
Chicken Salad Chick has used some creativity to roll out new concepts including popup locations, curbside pickup and local delivery.
The Southern-inspired, fast casual chicken salad restaurant concept has quickly adapted operations. Among its recent innovations: pop-up drive-thrus.
About one-third of the brands 155 locations have drive-thrus, and they have remained open for business, explains Tom Carr, Chicken Salad Chicks VP of Marketing. The other 100 locations have added pop-up drive-thrus. These locations have been setting up a tent outside of the restaurant where guests can drive-up, order and have the meal delivered directly to their car. The brand also added curbside pickup.
Chicken Salad Chick was able to mobilize an off-premises model quickly, thanks to its integrated digital ordering and delivery platform. Through Olo, weve been able to adjust ordering specifications so guests can select their preferred method of pickup whether it be curbside or through our Quick Chick pre-order community delivery/drop-off system, explains Carr. Some other features include Donate A Meal, where guests can choose to donate a meal to a front line worker with the purchase of their own meal, as well as order loaves of Chicken Salad Chicks white or wheatberry bread, or six-packs of its croissants.
