Chicken Salad Chick will expand its reach across Atlanta when it opens next week within the Perimeter Marketplace shopping center at 4706 Ashford Dunwoody Road, in Perimeter, Georgia.
The restaurant will feature catering and “Quick Chick” to-go options and will serve in-store lunch and dinner as well as offer curbside pickup, delivery, carryout. Plus, Uber Eats is launching soon.
“As the Perimeter area continues unprecedented growth, this Dunwoody location exemplifies our commitment to the continued expansion of company-owned restaurants in metro Atlanta,” Chicken Salad Chick President and CEO Scott Deviney said in a company press release. “We look forward to serving the Perimeter and Dunwoody businesses and neighborhoods and welcoming more first-time guests to experience Chicken Salad Chick.”
With locations across the metro-Atlanta area including Alpharetta, Buckhead, Cumming, Peachtree City, Roswell, Marietta and Vinings Chicken Salad Chick continues to expand throughout the state. The Perimeter location will serve as the brand’s 21st company-owned restaurant in Georgia and the 38th statewide.
It has over 200 restaurants in 17 states.

Chicken Salad Chick, the nations only fast-casual chicken salad restaurant concept, is expanding its reach across Atlanta and bringing more of its famed, fresh fare with the opening of its first Perimeter-area restaurant. Located in Perimeter Marketplace shopping center at 4706 Ashford Dunwoody Rd, Bldg B1, Suite 230, the restaurant will host a grand opening on Wednesday,with a ribbon cutting at 9:30 a.m. and doors opening at 10 a.m. The first 100 guests will receive free chicken salad for a year.
The Perimeter restaurant will feature full-service catering and Quick Chick to-go options. Chicken Salad Chick plans to open for lunch and dinner and offer curbside pickup, delivery, carryout and dine-in, plus Uber Eats launching soon bringing Southern-style hospitality to suit any guest occasion.

Michael Umphenour is the Clemmons franchisee. He opened his first Chicken Salad Chick in High Point in 2020. Another franchisee has a Chicken Salad Chick in Greensboro. Umphenour also owns six Mrs. Winners Chicken & Biscuits franchise restaurants in the Triad.

Stacy and I have similar views about serving customers, and I thought this was a good fit, Umphenour said of his decision.
Umphenour said that Chicken Salad Chicks demographic is predominantly women. I market to everybody. But our target customer its the soccer mom, he said.
The heart of the menu is about a dozen kinds of chicken salad. They all start with the same base: chicken tenderloins with the tendons removed, that are steamed, seasoned with the companys secret seasoning and mixed with a dash of mayonnaise.

Its a very clean chicken salad. And its not mayonnaise-heavy, Umphenour said.
That base is known as the Classic Carol. But the Clemmons location offers 12 other chicken salads that add ingredients to the Classic Carol.
