Chicken Salad Chick, the nations only fast casual chicken salad restaurant concept, announced today the opening of its 12th Louisiana location and the first in Lake Charles with new franchise owners Cindy and Claiborne Self. Located at 3723 Nelson Road in the Charvais Crossing complex and featuring a drive-thru, Chicken Salad Chick Lake Charles will celebrate its grand opening on Tuesday, Nov. 1st by giving away free chicken salad for a year to the first 100 guests.

Chicken Salad Chick Restaurant Coming To Alexandria
Chicken Salad Chick is making it’s home in Alexandria this fall.
The restaurant is taking the place of Eddie’s BBQ on MacArthur Drive. Their menu features a variety of chicken salad recipes, pimento cheese, broccoli and egg salad and more.
Other Louisiana locations include New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Monroe and Shreveport.
However, if you are a fan of Eddie’s, don’t worry. They will continue doing business at their Airbase Road location. MacArthur employees will also be offered jobs.
New owners Dustin Goynes and his wife Christina closed on the deal Friday. Both said they are excited to get started.
“It’s going to bring a lot of jobs,” Goynes said. “It is going to bring a great environment for fast food because we are heavy on service. The food is wonderful and it is on the lighter side. So, you can get great food and eat healthy at the same time.”
The Eddie’s on MacArthur has about 30 days of operation left from when the deal closed on May 10.
