Not Sweet Tomatoes, but still good

Average Rating

Ok, the title says it all, but if you’ve never been to a Sweet Tomatoes, then it won’t make sense. I gave it an average rating due to it’s smaller size of options on the soup and salad items . To me it ranks between a Pizza Hut buffet and a Sweet Tomatoes, but with much better…

Salad buffet with a reasonable choice of offerings to make a good salad lunch.Soups are better than I thought they would be and they offer different types of breads and a strange looking pizza. They are supposed to offer pasta but all they were serving was a mediocre mac and cheese.Price is really competitive, building and tables are…

Souper Salad Restaurants San Antonio

We were a group of six, and stopped by for a quick lunch at this restaurant. The choices were quite broad, especially salad and trimmings. The soup selection is quite good. There are choices of tacos and pizzas which we did not sample. My guests…had multiple helpings of the chill as it was very good. The wait staff was very helpful. For cheap, reasonably healthy food – we couldn’t ask for a better place in San Antonio.More

great variety of salad choices and toppings. Good value for the price paid. Can’t feel guilty about eating salad.

Hadn’t been here in several years. Pretty much the same as we remembered. We arrived early and was surprised that water is served to you. Seems like a waste of manpower to me. Desserts are pretty scanty but self-serve frozen ice cream is available in…vanilla only.More

    Review Of Souper Salad Restaurants

Sweet Tomatoes do a better job. Salads are acceptable, but nothing special. Potato salad made from left-over baked potatoes. Soups okay. Breads okay. Cleanliness an issue.

I couldn’t believe it. In the middle of summer, and the AC was not working fully! The bread & beef vegetable soup was good as was the garlic bread. It was a $7.29 buffet.

I came for dinner and used a coupon before it expired late in March. I had salad, pizza, soup, tacos, and ice cream. Overall, I liked the salad bar. I would have preferred more healthy dressing choices rather than the fatty standard dressings. I did like that they had fresh pizza, but the employees behind the bakery section kept talking about how they didn’t like certain items that were served there. It made me concerned about the quality of the food and if it was safe to even eat. Overall, I enjoyed the meal and the price was right. I will consider it again, but probably not while in San Antonio because there are way too many other awesome options here compared to where I am currently living: El Paso.
