The service was slow the day I visited but the food was good and a good portion size. They had…nice outdoor seating under umbrellas so you can even enjoy eating outside on a sunny day. We enjoy eating here and trying out different kinds of chicken salad. I like Fancy Nancy best, but they offer a second scoop as a side item. This allow me to try new things without giving up what I like. Great place!
The place was good, but not great. I love the deco, the staff was efficient and friendly, and the food was good, but it was a bit pricey to me for a lunch.

I went here for the first time with some former neighbors . I had The Chick , which I chose a scoop of Classic Carol Chicken Salad , a scoop of Pimento Cheese , and a scoop of Broccoli Salad . Chicken Salad Chick To Open 3 Locations In Birmingham In 2014
BIRMINGHAM, AL – Soon Birmingham residents who have a hankering for some Chicken Salad Chick won’t have to drive to Auburn or Montgomery to fulfill their craving.
The restaurant, which originated in Auburn, will open a new location in Birmingham’s Lee Branch shopping center off of Highway 280 later this year.
The restaurant announced the Lee Branch location will open in early fall 2014 and the owners plan to open two more Chicken Salad Chick restaurants in the Birmingham area in 2014.
The restaurant’s founder, Stacy Brown, began selling her homemade chicken salad recipe out of her her kitchen in Auburn before the health department shut her down. She then teamed up with her future husband and fellow founder, Kevin Brown, to open a small takeout restaurant.
The popularity of her 15 different flavors of chicken salad boomed, and now Chicken Salad Chick has sold 85 franchises that will be built across the southeast. The owners, Simply Southern Restaruant Group, say they have plans to expand nationally in the future.
“We are so thrilled to finally announce these coming Birmingham locations,” Chicken Salad Chick founder Stacy Brown said in a release. “So many of the guests that we see in our Auburn restaurants are from Birmingham, so we are very much looking forward to serving them, as well as many new guests, in their own communities!”
In March, the restaurant announced they would be expanding to Montgomery.

Riverchases Chicken Salad Chick Offers New Flavors And Dishes
When Stacy Brown opened the first Chicken Salad Chick in 2008 in Auburn, she made 40 pounds of chicken salad and sold out in less than two hours.
The next day, she made twice as much and sold out of that just as fast.
Now eight years and 54 restaurants later, Chicken Salad Chick just opened a new location in Riverchase one with something special for Hoover-area residents.
Its an opportunity for them to be the first to try some new menu items, just like those first customers in 2008.
Our new Riverchase Chicken Salad Chick will be unique in many ways, including new chicken salad flavors and menu items, says Brown, founder of Chicken Salad Chick.
The new restaurant located at 3780 Riverchase Village, Suite 110 is a test kitchen for the other Chicken Salad Chick locations, so customers will be able to try new things there first and help hone the product with feedback, says Scott Deviney, CEO of Chicken Salad Chick.
Its our opportunity to test a few things and see what the community would do with that restaurant, he says. And so far, the feedback has been unbelievable.
All of the other Chicken Salad Chick locations have 15 standard flavors, but at the Riverchase location, theyve cut that selection back to 10 to make room for new flavors.
We added a new flavor to make it 11 total there Laurens Lemon Basil, which is a really great flavor, Deviney says.
And if anyone is wondering about the cookies, Deviney says theres a chance to try a new one there, too.

Chicken Salad Chick Birmingham
We visited this restaurant in Birmingham on vacation in July. The food was fresh and very good. The service was friendly and helpful. The restaurant was clean and neat.
Nice relaxing dining room.Fast service. Food was good. I will be back to try even more different kinds of chicken salad. I recommend the triple scoop meal so, you can try several at the same time. They do have pimento cheese too.

I love chicken salad but cannot bring myself to again pay almost $10 for my lunch which consist of a small scoop of chicken salad on a piece of lettuce and a small side of grapes.
I love chicken salad to start with – so this place is a mecca to me. I have my favorites of Cranberry Kelli, Fancy Nancy, the pimento cheese, Fruity Fran, the grape salad…. My all time favorite is the seasonable flavor “Rockin Rita” which is…supposed to be coming out again November 1st. This flavor it the best for a football tailgate with frito scoops, but we also buy the to go pounds as well. :)More
