I kept hearing about this food and had to stop in to order some to have during our drive back home to the north. I ordered the grape and pecan chicken salad and the basil lemon chicken salad and the pimento cheese spread ….The grape and pecan chicken salad was the best of the three. I found the basil lemon to be entirely too salty and tasted more pesto than chicken. The pimento spread was nothing special. We picked up dinner on our way to our hotel. It was about 30 minutes from closing on a Saturday night. Both dh and I got the sandwich and scoop, and we both decided the sandwich was a little light on the amount of chicken…salad. Our favorites are the Dixie Chick and the Sassy Scotty . The young employee working the register could have been a little more enthusiastic, but perhaps she was just tired from the shift. Chicken Salad Chick opens in Pooler
Chicken Salad Chick, a fast-casual chicken salad restaurant concept, opened Tuesday in Pooler in the Pooler Station Shopping Center at 155 Traders Way, Suite 300.
The restaurant is owned by franchisees Tim and Kelly Paslawski of Savannah Chick LLC. This is their second Savannah-area restaurant, and they have plans for a third location in Hilton Head, S.C.
“We have many loyal fans that travel to our Savannah location to get their Chicken Salad Chick favorites” said owner Kelly Paslawski. “Now with an area location in Pooler we will be able to better serve our guests in yet another part of this wonderful community.”
Chicken Salad Chick has 39 locations across the Southeast.
Jersey Mike’s donates to YMCA of Coastal Georgia
Jersey Mike’s has presented the YMCA of Coastal Georgia with a check for $16,314 that was raised during the sandwich restaurants’ “Month of Giving.”
The funds will benefit the YMCA’s Y Readers, an academic enrichment program that helps children who are falling behind academically to overcome the achievement gap in the area of literacy. This program will be offered at five of the YMCA’S Pryme Tyme sites in Chatham County for the 2015-2016 school year.
Participating elementary schools are Hodge, Brock, Haven, Gould and Garden City.
This was Jersey Mike’s 5th annual “Month of Giving,” a national effort in which the organization pairs with its customers to raise money for a charity.

It wasn’t what we expected, but my husband and I enjoyed it. We were looking for a light lunch, and their scoop of chicken salad, pasta salad and tomato bisque soup really hit the spot. We were able to select different chicken salads, which was really nice. The staff was very friendly and we enjoyed our visit.

Tim and Kelly Paslawski are the dedicated owners of Chicken Salad Chick of Pooler. Tim discovered Chicken Salad Chick while living in Roswell, GA, and traveling throughout the state for his sales job. He instantly fell in love with the chicken salad. He wasnt alone. After bringing some home with him, his mother-in-law could not stop raving about the Classic Carol and Pimento Cheese. Simply put, she said it was the best chicken salad she had ever tasted.
Tim and Kelly were convinced at this point they had to be part of the Chicken Salad Chick family. They decided to relocate back to Savannah, where they had friends and family close by, to open their very own Chicken Salad Chick. They havent looked back since. In fact, they now own several other locations.
Tim is a former active duty Marine and a massive Georgia Bulldog fan, and Kelly is a graduate of UGA- coincidentally with a minor in Poultry Science. They love talking with guests and hearing about how delicious they find the food. Most of all, they love making their guests feel like they are at home. As for their favorite Chicks? Kellys is the Sassy Scotty while Tims is Jazzy Julie.
