Ruston Restaurant Owners Have Monroe Ties
The Ruston restaurant is owned and operated by sisters and multiunit franchise owners Ashley Keever and Krista Rhymes, along with their business partner Matthew Miller of 2 Chicks and a Magnet Inc.
With more than 20 years of experience managing The Muffin Tin and The Trenton House, popular bridal registry and gift shops in their hometown of Monroe, Keever and Rhymes entrepreneurial skillset and Millers business background will be a great asset to Chicken Salad Chick.
Two years ago, the group debuted their first Chicken Salad Chick restaurant in Monroe, continuing the family tradition of restaurant ownership that was started by Keever and Rhymes father. He was the founding partner of local favorite Podnuhs BBQ and radiated a love for serving others that carries on through his daughters today.
Keever, Rhymes and Miller are thrilled to open in Ruston and appreciate the wonderful response to their community deliveries of Chicken Salad in Ruston during COVID-19, and they look forward to serving the Louisiana Tech and Grambling University fans and community as well.

Following its opening three months ago in Gonzales, Louisiana, Chicken Salad Chick is adding a second location to the New Orleans area this time in Slidell, Louisiana.
Located at 1522 Gause Boulevard just off I-10 at exit 266 on Hwy 190, the restaurant will celebrate its grand opening Tuesday by offering free chicken salad for a year to its first 100 guests. Customers will maintain proper distance and receive designated return times upon arrival to spread out the number of guests at the restaurant throughout the day, according to a company press release.
Owned and operated by multi-unit franchise owners Ashley Keever, Krista Rhymes and Matthew Miller of 2 Chicks and a Magnet Inc., as well as Richard Nickelson to form Crescent City Chicks, the Slidell restaurant features a drive-thru and patio seating as well as a sampling station at the order pick-up area for guests to taste the 12 varieties of chicken salad.
Prior to franchising, Nickelson was a franchise business consultant with Chicken Salad Chick for seven years. The 2 Chicks and a Magnet team, who combined have over two decades of experience managing retail and restaurant spaces, operate Chicken Salad Chick restaurants across Monroe and Ruston.

Chicken Salad Chick, the nations only Southern inspired, fast casual chicken salad restaurant concept, announced today the opening of its newest franchised location in Slidell, Louisiana. Following the brands opening in Gonzales two months earlier, the Slidell restaurant continues Chicken Salad Chicks Louisiana development and marks the concepts second location in the New Orleans market. This place was a pleasant surprise! Service with a smile, immaculately clean, adorable decor, plenty of good parking, delicious food, just enough options to have lots of choices without being overwhelmed and THE COOKIES!!! OHHH THE COOKIES!!! This place is the best kept secret around!
I really love this place. Wish it was a little cheaper, but so fresh and quick. Nice to get something like that in a drive-thru .Favs are Cranberry Kelli, Sassy Scotty, Lemon Basil chicken salads, and the loaded potato soup.Only thing I haven’t really enjoyed so far was the broccoli cheese soup .
They are always out of broccoli salad. The best thing on the menu! Changed my rating after the manager/owner explained the outages on their deliveries. The only other thing that should be changed is if you call in an order you should be able to pick it up in the drive thru.
