Stacy Brown has always been on a quest to find the perfect chicken salad. One day she had an epiphany: Everyones idea of the perfect chicken salad is completely different! The stay-at-home mom set to work perfecting her own recipe, recruiting her family and neighbors to taste-test, before arriving atthe one.
Once Stacy had the chicken salad that made her family and friends say mmm, yes maam, she started dropping off samples of her creation in teachers lounges and hair salons, and then began selling door-to-door. Orders poured in Chicken Salad Chick was born. One day Stacy received a call from Stan with the Lee County Health Department, who told her the home business was illegal. With her chicken salad still in high demand, Stacy and her husband, Kevin Brown, were motivated to open up a carry-out only, humble yet honest-to-goodness restaurant where they could spread joy, enrich lives, and serve others. The rest, as they say, is history.

Chicken Salad Chick To Open In Athens On Alps Road
A new restaurant will fill an empty spot in the Beechwood Shopping Center on Alps Road called Chicken Salad Chick.
As the name implies, the restaurant focuses on one menu item. Chicken Salad Chick serves 15 varieties of chicken salad for lunch and dinner.
The Athens location is set to open in June or July.
The restaurant chain is growing quickly in Georgia, said Lauren Fernandez, president of Origin Development Group, the company that owns franchises in the state.
There are three stores in the metro-Atlanta area in Kennesaw, Roswell and Alpharetta. Another Chicken Salad Chick opened in Peachtree City this week, and one is scheduled to open in Augusta in April.
“We are really excited to come to Athens. I think it’ll be a perfect fit. does incredibly well in small, tight-knit communities,” Fernandez said.
Chicken Salad Chick makes its salads fresh every day, including flavors such as traditional, fruit and nut, savory and spicy. It also offers sides, soups and cookies to go along with the salad.
The chicken salad can be served on a bed of lettuce or as a sandwich. The store also serves deli sandwiches.
Customers can order food to go or sit down inside to eat.
Chicken Salad Chick will also cater and deliver large lunch orders.
The restaurant chain, which has 47 locations in the United States, is part of the fast casual trend, but Fernandez emphasized the importance of customer service at Chicken Salad Chick.
The new restaurant will create 40 new jobs, Fernandez said.

We decided on something different this day and opted to try this place. Not disappointed! Nice atmosphere and staff. The food was delightful and portions were enough.
I had Fancy Nancy. It did not have a mayo taste, which I really like. It was very fresh and tasted a lot like mine. I also had the potato soup. It was very good as well.

We ordered from work for lunch and a couple people were missing things, I was missing the cheese on my sandwich, Well the manager took time from his day and brought us the missing things INCLUDING my cheese and some cookies for the mix up! The food was delicious and the service was spectacular! 10/10 recommend.
