Chicken salad is not something I eat out but the chicken salad here is always fresh, tastes great and is of excellent quality. The sides and soups are just as good. I especially love the grape salad.

I had a hard time deciding which chicken salad to order so I got…a scoop of 2 different ones – Fancy Nancy with apples, grapes and pecans and Fruity Fran with grapes, apples and pineapple. I loved both of them. I also got a side of pasta salad. That was the only disappointing item as it was mushy. They add a little cookie which is a nice touch, However, we were still on the hunt for a good piece of key lime pie and finally found it here! Chicken Salad Chick is exactly what youd expect. A bright and lively restaurant that caters largely to women, but not so much that a man would feel uncomfortable there.

Its a counter service restaurant. Order at one of the three registers and your food will be brought to the table. For those needing to pick up an order and eat on the go, take out service is very quick, particularly if you call ahead.

The menu is wonderfully uncomplicated. Pick one of four specials. Pick a chicken salad. Pick a side item. Thats it.

There are 15 variations of chicken salad based off the Classic Carol. Ive eaten seven of them. All are good.

This may seem overwhelming but most of the salads fall into a couple of basic categories: classic, spicy, fruity, nutty, experimental. This makes it easier to narrow down.

Gollabs Grill is owned by Adele Gollab and her husband, Sangkel, a math teacher at Seventy-First High School.

Adele Gollab said the Carolina burger, a cheeseburger topped with housemade chili and slaw, is a specialty. It’s available on its own, or as part of a combo with hand-cut fries and a drink. Along with burgers, the restaurant serves chicken sandwiches, cheesesteaks, wings and fried appetizers.
