Wonderful scenery and good food. Service was only so-so. But the scenery – it was a wonderful day – made it worth it. Kids got the soup and salad . Soup was wonderful . I got a dish with elk that was really good. Would be 5 stars if they only were a little nicer and refilled drinks more often. But I’d go again. Chilis has done one better than competitors by offering not only bottomless soup and salad but with chips and salsa as well.
Chilis so-called bottomless deal comes with your choice of salad regular or Caesar and choice of soup Chicken Tortilla, Baked Potato or vegetable. You can substitute your soup with chili for an additional fee.

Have ate here before and was pleased in the past. We stopped for lunch thinking it would be great. Decided to try the unlimited soup, salad and bread, and ordered stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer. First off they did not serve as many stuffed mushrooms as they had in the past. Secondly we had been served only two baskets of three breadsticks per basket. Six breadsticks total. Unlimited? We were brought a second bowl of soup and immediately asked if we wanted desert as if the second bowl of soup was it. Unlimited means that if I want to set in there and eat ten bowls then by god thats what I get to do. The baskets of bread should have been brimming full with bread, and they had only 3 pieces in them. Ridiculous. I ordered a side dish of spaghetti and it was smaller than the menu picture pottrayed it as. Flavor wise it was all good but we were robbed quantity wise. I hate leaving a place hungry and I sure did here. I only gave it 3 stars because of the taste but the service was lagging, got only 1 bowl of salad, hardly any bread , and hardly any soup, which was really thin anyway. Unless you are looking to leave hungry I would save your money and go elsewhere, to some place like Zio’s or Carraba’s…

During that in-between time of 3 to 5 p.m. , the combo runs about $8.99. Pretty much a steal at any time if you’re carb-loading or just have a super-size appetite. If you’re more of a normal portion eater, well, the deal, like the food, is… okay. You could do better, you could do worse.
One Trip Advisor user offers a caveat based on their experience at a location in Oklahoma they felt as if the server were trying to limit the number of breadsticks and of bowls of soup they were served. While it is not company policy to cut off customers at any point, the fact is that you may have to ask for that third bowl of soup or extra basket of breadsticks, and if you feel any embarrassment at so doing… well, in that case, yes, you might be better off stuffing your face at Golden Corral or a similar buffet-style restaurant.

She also reminds us that this increase in saturated fat consumption “has been shown to increase your risk of cardiovascular diseaseâespecially if you’re eating it often.” So you’ll want to make sure you’re not choosing to eat soup every day that happens to be cream-based!

We showed up here for the brunch buffet on Sunday. They had a good selection and everything was quite tasty, especially since we had just gotten back from the BWCA. I swear everything tastes great when you just come back from camping. It was an allyoucaneat buffet and OMG did I eat a lot. The eggs were awesome and some of the best I’ve had. The fish cakes could have been better, perhaps with tartar sauce or lemon juice now that I think of it. Anyway, this place had live music as well. This is definitely worth a stop to sample the music, view and food.
