For the second stop on the Catering Bucket List, KARKs Claire Kreuz and Hilary Hunt stopped by Chicken Salad Chick in Benton. They were met with a huge table filled with a big spread of food, definitely worthy of any holiday get-together.
The nice thing about the eatery whether its a drop-in for lunch or a full-fledged catering event is its wide variety of offerings. Theyve got hot food, sandwiches, just chicken salad with crackers on the side, as well as beautiful platters such as the fruit trays. Theres really something for everyone.

The duo kicks things off with the traditional chicken salad sandwich, which is served inside a croissant. And there are tons of different types of chicken salad available, such as the Classic Carol, Olivias Old South, Dixie Chick, Sassy Scotty and more.

Chicken Salad Chick Sets Opening Date For Second Restaurant In Metro East
OFALLON, Ill Chicken Salad Chick, a fast-casual chicken salad restaurant chain, continues to expand in the St. Louis area with the planned Wednesday opening of a new location in OFallon, Illinois.
Located at 1128 Merchants Way, the new restaurant is in The Shoppes at Richland Creek, the $30 million shopping center development at Interstate 64 and Greenmount Road by Nashville-based by developer GBT Realty Corp.
The new restaurant is Chicken Salad Chicks second location in Metro East and the fourth location in the St. Louis area. Auburn, Alabama-based Chicken Salad Chick, which bills itself as Southern inspired, is known for its daily offering of a dozen varieties of made-from-scratch chicken salad, as well as salads, soups, sandwiches and desserts.
Beginning Wednesday, Chicken Salad Chick in OFallon will be open Monday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. for takeout and curbside pickup only, with all employees wearing masks and gloves as part of the chains safety protocols. While the dining room remains closed, under current Illinois pandemic restrictions, the OFallon location will offer delivery and open a temporary pop-up drive-thru, officials said. The new site doesnt have a permanent drive-thru.
The OFallon location also will offer limited-quantity giveaways Wednesday through Saturday.

We found Chicken Salad Chick before and loved it and were excited to come back! This time we tried the Cranberry Kelli chicken salad on croissant with pasta salad, Lauryns Lemon Basil chicken salad on croissant with broccoli salad, and Olivias Old South chicken saladon croissant with loaded potato soup. I very rarely post reviews, but I was so disappointed with this place , I felt I had to. I ordered a Pimento Cheese BLT with toasted white bread. The sandwich was so cold, it was almost soggy. The bacon was equally as cold. It took less than two minutes for me to get the sandwich, so obviously it was done half ass. Just very disappointed because I really wanted to love this place. Bummer!
Im a huge fan of Chicken Salad Chick. All of the different flavor options are delicious. I especially love the Dillicious Diva and the Dixie Chick. Broccoli salad is another favorite. This particular location was busy when I stopped in for lunch. The cash register / line was congested and crowded.
