Mix up the dressing. Add the Greek yogurt, extra virgin olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, cayenne and the juice of one lime in a large bowl. Then fold in your cubed or shredded chicken breast.

Next add the rest of your ingredients to the bowl: chopped avocados, crumbled bacon, diced red onions, canned or frozen and thawed corn, rough chopped cilantro, and finely chopped Jalapenos and fold all the ingredients together.

Its nice if some of the avocado gets mixed in well this makes it even creamier. But I like to make sure there are still some nice chunks left also.

This Southwest Avocado Chicken Salad is an easy, homemade salad that’s like a leveled up copycat Wendy’s Southwest salad. It’s full of delicious flavor and fun toppings – a balanced, satisfying salad the whole family can enjoy!

If I need to grab something to eat when I’m out and about away from home, one of my favorite fast food options is the Wendy’s Southwest salad. It’s still fast food, of course, but as far as fast food goes, it checks off a lot of my preferences for a balanced meal! The salad without the dressing is 420 calories , has a whopping 39 grams of protein and 6 grams of fiber .

I like that salad so much I decided it was time to come up with my own inspired salad at home! And it hits the spot! It has everything the Wendy’s Southwest salad has , with the addition of some cucumbers for a little more crunch and more vegetables, and black beans, for an extra boost of fiber – helpful for blood sugar control, digestion, and heart health!

    Wendy’s . . . maybe you go there for the Baconators, or maybe you go there for the chili. Maybe you just like a fast food place that actually serves baked potatoes. Maybe you have a sweet tooth and love their Frosty shakes. Or maybe you’ve never tried it, but have seen commercials that make it look delicious.

    For me, Wendy’s is about none of those things. I like it for their salads, which I think are better than the salads at any other fast food place. The ingredients taste really fresh and nice, even when I order them late at night. So, I’m addicted to this place, especially when I’m trying to get some vegetables to eat.

    But, I always get the same salad: the Caesar. I decided to try their other salads to see if they were even half as goodso I bought one of each. Here’s my review of each one.
