Great Places To Eat Something Kind Of Healthy

Photos for The Salad Place

The best places to eat things that are both delicious and good for you.

Eating healthy means different things to different people. To some, it could be avoiding foods that start with the letter “P,” and to others, it just means not eating anything thats been deep fried. No matter which extreme you gravitate toward, your friends are still going to want to go out and eat, and its not going to be OK when you show up with separate jars filled with blanched almonds and homemade lemon cayenne salad dressing. Thats why we have this guide. It includes all the places in SF you should be going to if you want to eat a little better, but not feel like youre training for some sort of space marathon while you do it.

Being healthy is just as much a state of mind as anything, and while hammering down a plate of fries and thinking the word health over and over probably wont cut it, going to Onsen will definitely help get you in the right headspace. Aside from this Japanese place making some great food thats also pretty healthy, like lamb skewers, mushroom dumplings, and poke, its also partially a bathhouse. So if the food isnt doing it, you can treat a trip here as a spa day too.

A Tour of San Francisco with Chef Traci Des Jardins

The owner was helpful and friendly, great choice of fresh ingredients and gluten free options for my gf with celiac disease. She had the salad and I had a sandwich and both were really good. Recommended!

Ordered a wrap & a salad. Both were delicious & made right there with fresh ingredients. Also had their fresh carrot juice – so yummy!

This is an odd place. The person handling the orders behind the counter spoke little to no English. She was unable to explain what was in the various salads. I ordered a small Thai Chicken salad. It consisted of Chow Mein noodles and a spicy…sauce. No Chicken. 1/2 pint of noodles and sauce for 4.95. No return visit here. No value for the buck.More

This is a small business that clearly takes pride in serving customers. The service was amazing and all of our food was prepared with fresh ingredients by hand to order. We ordered caprese panini which came on wonderful fresh ciabatta with generous amounts of fresh…basil and mozzarella. I haven’t had better anywhere and they were huge! Well worth a visit and reasonably priced.More

What a delightful find! Wide variety of freshly prepared salads, great smoothies, and best of all a charming hostess/server.

I was very happy when they opened. It is a refreshing menu in a sea of taquerias. Their salads are fresh and there’s a large selection. Their sandwiches are delicious. My wife loves their special BLT.
