Hidden Valley Ranch Crunchy Pea Salad
I’ve had this recipe for several years and its always a crowd pleaser. I got the recipe out of a woman’s magazine.

1 package frozen baby peas, thawed |
1 cup diced celery |
1 cup chopped cauliflower |
1/4 cup diced green onion |
1 cup chopped cashew nuts |
1 cup prepared ranch dressing |
3 -5 slices cooked bacon, crumbled |
Steps:
- Combine all ingredients except bacon mix well and chill for several hours.
- Just before serving sprinkle with crumbled bacon.

Often, I swap the meat in this recipe for pork chops. To ensure that every part of the pork chop is amazing, I use one of the final minutes of searing to cook the fatty spine.

Turns out, at-home peanut sauce is surprisingly simple to make. Start with some creamy peanut butter, mix in water, apple cider vinegar and some ranch seasoning, and there you have it. Thai-inspired flavor in no time.

Crunchy Pea Salad Hidden Valley Ranch
In a large mixing bowl, make the ranch dressing by combining the ranch seasoning mix, greek yogurt and milk. Whisk to combine. Place the mixing bowl in the fridge while you make the rest of the pasta salad. Cook the elbow macaroni in salted boiling water according to package instructions. Drain and add to the large mixing bowl with the ranch dressing while the pasta is still warm.
Prepare Ranch Dressing: In a large jar with a tight-fitting lid, combine Mayonnaise, Greek Yogurt and Dry Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing Seasoning. Shake or stir until well mixed. This can store in the fridge up to 2 weeks.

Lets grab your ingredients and lets get started
The first step for this Grilled Ranch Garlic Chicken recipe is to place the breasts into a gallon-sized freezer bag, remove any extra air, and seal tightly. Pound the chicken breasts with the flat side of a meat mallet until youve reached a uniform thickness.
This is an important step because it increases the surface area for this delicious chicken breast marinade and it will allow the chicken breasts to cook evenly.
Next add Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing, Farmhouse Originals Italian with Herbs Dressing, and garlic to the freezer bag. Add a dash of salt and pepper for good measure. Seal the bag, massage to mix ingredients, and marinate the chicken breasts!

Copycat Outback Buttermilk Ranch Dressing
We recently ate dinner at Outback Steakhouse. It has been YEARS since we have eaten at Outback. I forgot how good it is. We each got a salad and split a couple of appetizers. SO good! The salad was great especially the ranch dressing. OMG! I could drink that stuff. Chicken Legs asked me to try and copy the recipe so we could have it at home. I took a stab at it, and I think it is really close. We both loved it, so that is all that matters. It is a million times better than the bottled stuff! Judi Leaming: Varieties Of Crunchy Pea Salad
This weeks column is inspired by a request from our daughter, Kate, that I contribute that pea salad recipe for the graduation celebratory luncheon that well be enjoying in honor of grandson Matthew.
Just last week, I had made a Crunch Pea Salad from the Gooseberry Patch cookbook that was published in 2001 titled Made from Scratch.
The crunch factor for this salad comes from the seasoned croutons that are sprinkled over the top when the salad is served be sure to include these.
However, I realized that this was not the recipe that Kate was remembering, and so I went in search of the one that she recalled contained Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing. Sure enough, this recipe is still featured on their website, www.hiddenvalley.com.
The crunch for this salad comes from chopped cashews and tiny florets of raw cauliflower. Im sure that I shared this with you in the 1990s, but, like I had, you may have forgotten about this great picnic side.
Perhaps my own favorite crunch pea salad is the one that I shared with you only a year ago for Nutty Cold Pea Salad. This bears repeating here because it really is both tasty and unusual, and you may not have discovered this recipe last year. This recipe is included in the Recipes from Readers cookbook.
