What If You Get Flatulence
Your body might not be used to all the fiber you are eating. Remember that flatulence is not dangerous. It just tells you your gut microbes are working and doing well. For some people, cruciferous vegetables cause more stomach cramps than others, so it is a good idea to start with smaller amounts. You can reduce the amount of cabbage and broccoli and increase other non-starchy vegetables.
For some people, the problem is not the cabbage, but the onions and garlic. Especially for people with IBS, irritable bowel syndrome. You can make the first batch of soup without any onions and garlic and see how your tummy reacts to just the cabbage.

Can I Make This Soup In My Instant Pot
We received a comment from Samantha, who made this soup in her Instant Pot . Thank you for sharing this, Samantha! This is how she made it:
I did it in the instant pot! I sauteed the onions, garlic, carrots, green beans and mushrooms in olive oil. Then added broth and gave it a good stir to scrape up bits. I added Kale instead of cabbage and cooked it 5 minutes. Quick release, add zucchini and stir. Add tomatoes last and dont stir. Cook another 5 minutes and quick release. I didnt add beans or tomato juice. I sprinkled it with parmesan and it was wonderful!
Weight Loss Cabbage Soup
Like the traditional weight loss cabbage soup, this weight loss vegetable soup contains quite a bit of cabbage four cups in fact. Why? Cabbage is a filling, low-calorie vegetable. It adds some oomph and substance to the soup without adding calories.
The base of the cabbage soup is beef broth instead of water, along with some tomato paste. I honestly cant imagine eating a low-calorie soup for weight loss made with just water. How flavorless does that sound?! The beef broth really adds some flavor.
As for the rest of the vegetables, what Ive listed below is mostly a suggestion. The key is to have a variety of non-starchy vegetables. Basically, your soup should look the like rainbow to reap the health benefits truly. I recommend carrots , peppers and broccoli as a base, then add whatever youd like. This is a great way to clear out your fridge by using up whatever veggies you have left.
I know this cabbage soup diet will definitely be on my menu after the holiday season. Im going to try to swap it out for lunch every day to get rid of this holiday bloat!

Dont Sabotage Your Weight Loss
Itâs easy to turn your healthy salad into a high-fat, calorie-laden dish by smothering it with the wrong dressing. Use caution with store-bought salad dressings or dressings on salads from restaurants, which contain excessive fat and sodium. Avoid creamy dressings like ranch, thousand island, green goddess and blue cheese, which can add as many as 140 extra calories per 2 tablespoons, according to the USDA.
Fat-free dressings may not be any better, as some have added sugar to compensate for the removed fat. When eating out, order your dressing on the side and dip your fork into it before each bite of salad. That way, you can still enjoy the dressing, but in smaller amounts.
If you love to eat salad for weight loss at home, and you like dressing, homemade vinaigrettes are your best choice. Egg Diet Plan And Weight Loss
Eggs can fit into a sustainable part of a balanced, weight loss diet. Eggs provide many nutrients, are naturally low in calories and are a good source of protein.
A 2008 study compared weight loss in a group of overweight or obese participants. Participants were put into one of four groups: eggs for breakfast , eggs for breakfast and low calorie diet , bagel for breakfast or bagel breakfast and low calorie diet .
After 8 weeks, the ED had greater weight loss compared to the BD group. Both groups were instructed to 1,000 calorie energy deficient, low fat diet.
The B and E groups were not instructed to restrict calories. All breakfasts for all four groups were the same amount of calories.
The E and B groups did not have significant weight loss. Researchers concluded incorporating eggs as part of a low calorie diet can be beneficial for weight loss.
However, just eating eggs will not magically result in weight loss alone. Weight loss is a combination of total food intake, lifestyle choices, medical and genetic factors.
